Class assignment to design an event poster for
a photography exhibition. Each student was
given the task of presenting the information
for the exhibition on a 20x30 poster.
The exhibition includes the work of five
photographers so I wanted the poster to
resemble qualities related to phoptography.
One idea related to the circular nature of
a lense. I organized the text along a curvature
and played with this idea for a few iterations.
The second concept played a bit with the
focusing attributes of the camera. I added
the missing compopnents and moved the information
around until I landed on a similar composition
to my final idea. I continued with this concept,
adding the years flushed to the left and the
right side of the poster so they resembled
a film strip.
